Thomas' studio is a 500 square foot loft with a cathedral ceiling and dominant north light windows. There is a still life area lit by high cool light entering from the left, as well as a comfortable section for figure work. Color-balanced fluorescent tubes are positioned adjacent to the north windows to depict a similar light when painting in the evening. The studio is designed for painting from life with the versatility in lighting and positioning of the subject. The layout is conducive for workshops and presentations.
